Fees & Payment

If you are interested in working with me, drop me a note through my contact form and my administrative assistant will invite you to meet me for an introductory chat where you can ask me any questions about the process of therapy and how I work. I will ask you a little of what is bringing you to therapy at this time, and together we can figure out whether I or one of my colleagues might be a good fit for you at this time. 

My therapy sessions are 50 minutes long including time to wrap up and schedule the next session. My current fees are £200 per 50 minute session. Some people prefer longer sessions, perhaps after a break or to explore something that requires more time and in that case I charge my 50 minute session fee at pro rata, £300 for 75 minutes.

I ask that payment is made online prior to each appointment. When you receive your electronic appointment confirmation, there is a pay button which links to an online payment platform. You will automatically be sent a receipt via email from the online payment system. I usually raise my fees in January for existing clients.

Cancellation Policy

I operate a one week rescheduling and cancellation policy, which means that I will not charge any fee if you give notice of one week or more to cancel. If you need to reschedule, I will try to offer a suitable time before Friday of the same week, however if I am unable to, I ask for the full fee to be paid.

Private Health Insurance

I only accept private pay clients and will be happy to provide referrals to therapists who work in conjunction with Health Insurance Providers wherever possible. 

If your Insurance Provider agrees that you can be reimbursed directly for session fees, you may be able to use your automated payment receipt to claim. If you plan to do this, I recommend you check your policy wording, call to confirm any referral requirements and obtain pre-authorisation from them in writing before submitting your claim.

Who helps with my admin?

When you email me, your message may be read by my assistant. They are professional, experienced and warm and will usually be able to respond within 48 hours. Once we are working together, your appointments may be organised by them or I might book in the next appointment during the last few minutes of a session. 

You receive an automatic email confirmation, with a link to the call, payment instructions and time in your applicable time zone followed by a reminder the day before and day of the appointment.

I check my emails twice a day, and my assistant checks periodically throughout the day so we usually catch anything urgent too. Our email hours are 10am-5pm Monday to Thursday and 10am - 1pm Fridays.
